Smile Confidently Through Treatment With Invisalign
Invisalign is a series of clear, removable orthodontic aligners that straighten teeth with minimal esthetic impact.
The aligners are prescribed by Dr. Diane to guide your teeth to their final correction - one tray at a time. Come find out if you or your teen are candidates for Invisalign treatment.
In addition to being discreet, Invisalign is removable for meals and brushing, which means you can enjoy many of your favorite food and brush and floss as normal!

Features of Invisalign Treatment
Invisalign offers a range of innovative features designed to make your orthodontic journey a seamless and convenient experience.
Smooth Construction
Invisalign aligners are custom-made and smooth, meaning you'll rarely experience any irritation or discomfort.
The aligners are made with USP Class VI medical-grade, high-molecular-weight polyurethane resins that are BPA-free.
Low-Profile Esthetics
For those concerned about how their orthodontic treatment will impact the appearance of their smile, Invisalign can be a great choice. The casual observer may not even notice you're wearing them!
Removable Aligners
Because Invisalign aligners are removable, you can take them out before each meal, so that you can enjoy all your favorite foods without limitation.
You can also take the aligners out to brush and floss your teeth, so your oral hygiene routine will be unaffected.
Digital Impressions with iTero™
Dr. Diane uses the iTero 3D scanner to take digital impressions of your smile and show you your projected results before your treatment even gets started.
iTero impressions are minimally intrusive and don't require any goopy impressions.

Consultation & Plan
You can start your Invisalign journey with either a free virtual consultation or a free in-office consultation. Dr. Diane will take the time to understand your concerns and answer your questions. A digital scan with our iTero scanner can even show you a projected finished result before you get started.
Using the findings from your initial exam and digital scan, Dr. Diane will then develop a plan specifically designed for your alignment. Each tray will contain precision movements programmed by her. These trays are then 3D printed by Invisalign. Once printed, they usually arrive back to the office in 2-3 weeks.
Wearing Your Aligners
For the duration of your treatment, you'll wear your aligners every day, removing them only for a total of about two hours a day to eat, brush, and floss your teeth. You will be taught how to understand when your trays are ready to change, and will be shown how to do chewing exercises which encourage the teeth to move. Gradually, you will see your new smile emerge as your teeth shift into their prescribed positions.
Once you have completed the correction, you will enter the retention phase of treatment in the same way our braces patients do. To help keep your smile forever, please also inquire about our Smile Protection Program.
Appointments With Us
When you're off to the races and have a confident command of how to wear and assess your trays, Dr. Diane will monitor your progress approximately every 8-12 weeks apart.
If issues arise in between virtual check-ins are encouraged with photos. Simply contact us and we can assist you with this.
FAQ's About Life With Invisalign
-
How much does Invisalign cost?
The cost of Invisalign orthodontic treatment will depend on the severity of your correction. The more severe or complex the misalignment is, the more aligners you'll need, and the more your treatment will cost.
Concerns about cost are completely understandable. We offer dental financing and flexible payment plans to help you manage your budget for orthodontic treatment.
-
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
The duration of your treatment is ultimately determined by the nature and severity of the misalignment of your teeth or jaw. Your level of compliance in wearing the trays, doing the daily chewing exercises, and even wearing elastics will also factor into the efficiency of your treatment.
-
What are Invisalign aligners made of?
Invisalign aligners are made with USP Class VI medical-grade, high-molecular-weight polyurethane resins that are BPA-free.
-
How often do I have to visit the orthodontist with Invisalign?
A patient who demonstrates clear proficiency in the system can be seen 12-16 weeks apart. Keep in mind that aligners (and braces) are placing force on your teeth, which means that you should be supervised to make sure they are progressing well and not causing damage to your teeth or gums. It is easy to think that plastic can be less aggressive than traditional braces, but this isn't necessarily the case.
-
How often do I have to change my Invisalign aligners?
Dr. Diane's preferred changes are every two weeks based on the rate of tooth movements in her prescription. She will let you know if there are any variations to this routine.
-
Are there any food or drink restrictions?
You can remove your aligners to eat, so there aren't really any dietary restrictions while you're undergoing Invisalign treatment.
We recommend taking your aligners out to drink beverages other than water (soda, coffee, juice, etc.) to avoid staining and so that sugars and acids don't get trapped between the aligners and your teeth.
-
How do I clean my aligners?
You should clean your aligners with a toothbrush and clear anti-bacterial soap and cold water for two to three minutes - the exact same time it takes to brush your teeth. The trays will grow plaque the same way your teeth do, so please be sure to brush the inside and outside of the trays until they are clear. You may use a regular or electric brush to do this.
By the end of two weeks, it is normal for the trays to look more opaque if you've been brushing thoroughly.
-
How do I store my aligners?
You should store your Invisalign aligners in the case they come with any time they're not in your mouth. This will keep them safe and clean until it's time to put them back in.
-
Can I play sports with Invisalign?
You can! However, keep in mind that your aligners are not mouth guards. Since they are removable, you can still wear a "boil and bite" mouthguard. In the event that you do not wear a mouth guard for your sport, please keep wearing your trays since you should be striving for 22+ hours of wear time/day.
-
Can I play wind instruments with Invisalign?
Yes! Keeping your trays in while practicing (and practicing more in the beginning) will help you adjust to the feel of playing with them on.
-
Invisalign vs. braces: which is right for me?
Invisalign and braces are both reliable and effective orthodontic treatment options, but there are differences between them that may affect their suitability for different individuals.
Factors to consider when choosing between Invisalign and braces include esthetics, your personal preferences and lifestyle, cost, and the nature and severity of your misalignment. You can learn more here.
Dr. Diane will assess your specific case and recommend the best treatment option for your needs.
