Orthodontics for Everyone
At All Star Smiles Orthodontics, we believe a healthy, beautiful smile is an asset at any age. We offer treatment tailored to the needs of children, teens, and adults, and affordable payment plans that can fit almost any budget.

Early Assessments for Children
One of the best ways to ensure healthy oral development in children is with an early orthodontic evaluation. This allows Dr. Diane to identify and monitor emerging tooth and jaw issues to determine the best time to begin treatment.
When it comes to orthodontic care for kids, our goal is to prevent harm to the gums and emerging adult teeth, and minimize treatment required when they reach their teenage years.
Orthodontics for Oral Health
There's no question that orthodontic treatment can create beautiful smiles. But orthodontics is also about helping patients establish good oral health that improves their day-to-day lives.
Better Oral Function
Improving the alignment of the teeth and jaws can improve their function – biting, chewing, and speaking. We take great pride in helping our patients resolve them.
Better Oral Hygiene
Straight teeth allow easier access for flossing and brushing than overcrowded or misaligned teeth. For many of our patients, orthodontic treatment makes a significant difference in preventing serious oral health issues, such as tooth decay and gum disease.
Long-Term Damage Prevention
Orthodontic treatment is preventative dentistry, much in the way a sealant prevents cavities. When done during growth years, you can protect the teeth from extensive dental work in the future. When done as an adult, it can protect teeth from further damage and keep dental work more conservative.
Knowledge is Power for Patients
We believe that patients are more likely to achieve optimal results from their treatment when they are well-informed. That's why our team continuously strives for excellence in patient communication.
We offer opinions and provide treatment recommendations with honesty, transparency and compassion. We are always available to answer questions and we communicate clearly so that our patients understand each element of their treatment plans at each stage of treatment.
Here are our answers to some of the questions our new patients often ask about orthodontics.
-
What is an orthodontist?
An orthodontist is a dental specialist in the diagnosis, prevention, management, and correction of misaligned teeth, jaws, and bite patterns.
Dr. Diane completed an additional three years of training at Harvard after dental school to become an orthodontist. She further completed her Board Certification and continues to lead multiple study clubs to stay current with the latest dental and orthodontic techniques for the best clinical results.
-
What is a board certified orthodontist?
To become board-certified, an orthodontist must voluntarily achieve certification from the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) – the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA).
Recertification is required every 10 years, which involves rigorous examinations and peer evaluations. Board certified orthodontists display a commitment to excellence in orthodontic care and a dedication to lifelong learning.
-
At what age should someone seek orthodontic treatment?
We typically recommend that children visit the orthodontist for the first time by the age of seven.
These early evaluations give us an opportunity to identify and treat emerging dental and growth issues to normalize development in a timely fashion. The goal is to work with growth to maximize correction in a natural way. Early intervention can ease future corrections as a teen or adult.
As far as adults go, there is no upper age limit for orthodontic treatment. As long as the teeth and gums are healthy, adults in their 30s, 40s, and beyond can benefit from orthodontics too! Even teeth that have been restored with crowns can move. Did you know that 40% of our patients are adults?
-
How can I tell if I need orthodontic treatment?
Common reasons to seek orthodontic treatment include:
- Visible crowding or excessive spacing
- Protruding teeth
- Misaligned jaws or uncomfortable bite
- Difficulty chewing
- Difficulty brushing or flossing
- Relapse of prior orthodontic treatment
You can request an appointment with us in-person or virtually at any time - no referral needed!
-
What are my orthodontic treatment options at All Star Smiles Orthodontics?
We offer traditional braces and Invisalign clear aligners, both of which are customized to each patient's specific needs.
For children, early intervention may be appropriate to guide eruption issues and deviations in jaw growth.
-
How much does orthodontic treatment with braces or Invisalign cost?
Orthodontic treatment costs vary depending on a number of factors, including the severity and complexity of your orthodontic needs, the amount of time it takes to correct them, and the type of treatment you choose.
Each repayment plan is customized with your budget and benefits in mind. We offer interest-free, in-office financing and family courtesies, and work hard to maximize your benefit dollars. This includes submitting insurance claims and helping you plan benefit elections.
